FABRIC RESEARCH AND TREATMENT
DAVID-TC WITH PRIMALOFT® INSULATION: Field Jacket in David-TC. Beginning with a star-shaped cross-section Japanese polyester/polyamide substrate, garments in David-TC are sewn and then simultaneously garment-dyed and treated with an anti-drop agent. During the dye process, under pressure at 130°C, the fabric undergoes heat-induced compression, radically transforming its texture and construction for a truly unique tactile effect. The garment is padded with a PrimaLoft® layer, an exclusive blend of ultra-thin fibres providing exceptional insulation. PrimaLoft® is developed to stay drier even when wet. It delivers the highest warmth-to-weight ratio of all synthetic insulations.

42459 came in - love it, feels better constructed than 41459
42459 came in – love it, feels better constructed than 41459 and can actually close the zip to the neckline. Sleeves are borderline short in my opinion when your arms are extended but fine when rested . The tuck away hood is probably one of the better ones I’ve felt in life but still it’s thin. My only major criticism of this jacket is the zips – they do not feel like quality YKK ones and they don’t look like YKK ones either, they look like an imitation mold was used. Disappointing as the same zip system on a TS one feels quality. Considering the price and the quality of the rest of the jacket, I think Busy needs to go back to the drawing board with sourcing better zip (applies for tuck away good zip too). Other than that, great jacket but the zip cheapness is a big deal for me personally.
